Note from Evgeny: Mr. Squirrel was the name of one of my cats. He had a bushy tail like a squirrel! Unfortunately he died young and I wanted to dedicate this composition to him. The first draft of the composition which included only a piano part was put together while I was living in the forest in Russia about 7 years ago. I feel the arrangement of the tune is representative of Mr. Squirrel's character, and helps me to preserve memories of Mr. Squirrel as he was.
